As we complete this first week of our new semester, I reflect on the journey before me that is coming to an end. This is my final semester before I graduate and I am excited for what this time we will have together will bring. I hope to learn from all of the new classmates I have and also be able to offer some jewels of knowledge up myself.

I love being able to join the principles of the gospel with the skills needed to enter the entrepreneurial field. As President Hinckley stated, this university has been established in this day and age, the way it is, because it is what the Lord needs for His children at this time. The principles we can learn in this very class, will allow us to be the type of people the lord needs in the business world to help the work move forward.

Challenges are a huge part of life. Usually, for most people, when they are in the middle of the challenges of life, they find it hard to see the blessings that will come from those challenges. We tend to be people who live in the now. By doing so, we often times miss out on great opportunities to learn. The Lord is kind enough to bless our lives by giving us challenges. Most of the greatest lessons I have learned in my life, were a result of being able to look back at the tough times in my life and see the growth I was able to attain because I had been given a challenge. When I think about the perfect master, I think about the Savior. He dedicated his life to others as well as ensuring that he accomplished all the Father asked of him.  We are here on the same earth with many of the same tasks being asked of us. What are we doing to emulate the Savior? To continually work on mastering the tasks of life that we will need to be successful in this journey. We must take a step back from where we are, assess the situation and see what we can do to be more diligent in our living.
