Grow a business, Change the World


If you have the dream and desire to become and entrepreneur, you can do it! Anyone can do it if they put in the necessary work and learn the needed skills. Now, this does not mean that you will automatically be a successful one. Being an entrepreneur can and most likely will be a difficult journey to embark on. There are many aspects of the journey that will test you and bring you to your limits, but if you are prepared to the best of your abilities, you will persevere in one way or another.

An important aspect of becoming a successful business power is to never forget why we are here on this earth and what our ultimate goal is. The world teaches that we must have money and accolades to prove our success. Yet, we as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints know that true success is far from that. We must work to have continuing balance I our lives. If we forgo all of our eternal responsibilities, such as our family, our friends, our church callings, and opportunities to serve, no amount of money will ever replace the blessing we gave up by doing so. The Lord desires us to have great success. He wants to see us have joy and prosperity. By keeping His plan in the front of our minds as we strive to create a business that will provide for our families and fills the needs of our customers, it allows us to receive personal revelation as to how we can do it in the best manner.

Now, even though we may feel we are doing everything the Lord would want us to do, that does not mean challenges are not going to be part of our journey, actually because we are following the Lord and he desires us to become strong in all things, we are guaranteed to have challenges along the way. We must decide long before they come, how we are going to handle them. By this I mean, we must stay true to who we are and who the Lord needs us to be. Sometimes this may mean the challenges lead to loss of income or even our business, but if we are determined to do what is right no matter the circumstances, blessings will come our way.

Anyone can start a business and run it to a level of success that other admire, but we are called to be more than that. We have the task of starting a business that does not only attain the admiration of others, but has the ability to change lives. No matter what your business may be, you have the opportunity to impact the lives of many people if you are always seeking those opportunities and commit to the Lord that you will use your success as a means to not only bless your own family, but the lives of others.

Challenges are a huge part of life. Usually, for most people, when they are in the middle of the challenges of life, they find it hard to see the blessings that will come from those challenges. We tend to be people who live in the now. By doing so, we often times miss out on great opportunities to learn. The Lord is kind enough to bless our lives by giving us challenges. Most of the greatest lessons I have learned in my life, were a result of being able to look back at the tough times in my life and see the growth I was able to attain because I had been given a challenge. When I think about the perfect master, I think about the Savior. He dedicated his life to others as well as ensuring that he accomplished all the Father asked of him.  We are here on the same earth with many of the same tasks being asked of us. What are we doing to emulate the Savior? To continually work on mastering the tasks of life that we will need to be successful in this journey. We must take a step back from where we are, assess the situation and see what we can do to be more diligent in our living.
